In 10.0 I join a CSV file to a Parcel polygon in a geodatabase on the PIN and GIS_Number Fields. No Problem. In 10.1, the field in the CSV file changes from a string to a long. The only way I have found around this is to bring it into excel via import and use the wizard to force it to treat the field as text. Sure would be nice to do it the old way. Anyone have any suggestions?
