The selection contains non connected segments error when using representations

Hi there

Could someone please explain what the following error message means when I am working with representations:

"The selection contains non connected segments. They should all build a continuous polyline."

It appeared when I selected Move Parallel Tool and tried to move a polyline representation feature. I only have one polyline representation feature selected
