Touchscreen functionality in Arcmap?

Does anyone have any experience using a touchscreen in arcmap for windows 8? What if any functionality is possible, panning, zooming? Will arcmap at least recognize a mouse click - screen tap event?

Is there a way to make Arc understand some touch events via a .net plugin for desktop?
