Adobe PDF reader has the ability to display and analyse geographic information (i.e. measure distances, areas, display coordinates) contained within a geo-PDF file which ArcMap has the ability to export.
However, coordinates are always presented as Lat/Long (WGS84) even if the original map had a projected coordinate system with the coordinate values in metres.
Does anyone know if this is an issue with ArcMap not exporting meta tags correctly or if it's a problem with Adobe Reader?
There is an option in the Adobe Reader preferences > Measuring (2D) to 'Use Scale and Units from Document (when present)' which makes me suspect that ArcMap isn't writing those properly?
Can anyone confirm where the issue lies?
(Adobe Reader version 11.05, ArcMap version 10.1 SP1)
