I've already got a case open with support for this, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar or can reproduce it. We've had the problem since we upgraded to a 10.2 Geodatabase (SQL Server 2008 R2). Now, anytime we have an mxd with multiple layers having map tips and hyperlinks enabled, if we activate the hyperlink button and do another action like refresh the map while it's active, the mxd gets into an apparently endless loop calling to SQL Server and freezes from anywhere between 20 seconds and an hour (we haven't let it run longer than an hour). If we deactivate the hyperlink tool before the refresh it's fine. This is with a fresh mxd built in 10.2. We had no issues with the 10.2 client against the same GDB in 10.0 and SQL Server 2005.
