Calculating field vales using related records

Is it possible to calculate a field value using values in a related table?

I have a feature class that is related to a table using a field called "Location", and I would love to be able to generate the content of another field in the feature class called "Total Spend" by calculating the sum of all the related values of a "Spend" field in the table. Can this be done?
