Can i import feature linked annotation

I have set up features & annotation in a File GDB (destination). However, the source data that gets edited is in another GDB (source) that does not have annotation. is there any way to import the edits done in the source as if it were done in the destination GDB? and retain the link? apparently the only other option is to note the roads edited and manually change in the destination.
