Field/Value Metadata Information Not Importing Properly (Other Metadata Imports Fine)

I've been working some (FGDC) metadata for one of my workplace's feature classes. I started by setting my "Metadata Style" to FGDC in ArcCatalog and began filling stuff in under the description tab. There were some domain values that I wanted to duplicate. Having found no clear way to do this in ArcCatalog's metadata editor, I exported it to an XML file and copy/pasted what I needed to in Notepad++.

However, when re-importing the data all of the field/value information gets stripped out. The information is still there in the XML file (and even parses just fine), but ArcCatalog is not importing it for some reason. I get some Geo-processing errors, but have no clue what they mean:

I want to get the information in the XML file back into my feature class without having to manually reenter it all. Any helpful hints?
