Sorry the heading is not really correct. The database connection is still available, but the points on the map are missing.
I added a table from a Oracle database to my map project as a query layer. After that I displayed the X Y Data. Everything is working fine and the points are visable on the map. Now I save the map to a mxd file, reopen ArcMap and load the Map. The points on the map disappeared. There is no opportunity to get the points visable again without deleting and recreating the layer.
My ArcGIS for Desktop version is 10.2.1.
Do anybody have a solution for this?
