ERROR 001272: Analyzer errors were encountered (codes = 3).

Hi all,

I am getting this error message (see title) when trying to publish a service from an MXD. The MXD contains one single polygon feature class of about 10-15 features, with a simple line outline - no queries and no labels.

To try to find the error I have tried
- to publish another MXD from the same server (no problem)
- to copy that MXD and add the layer of interest (gives me the error message when publishing)
- to copy the polygon features from a shape file to a .gdb, and then adding that to the mxd (gives me the error message)
- to delete all polygon features from the .gdb except one (still gives me the error message)
- to delete all polygon features from the .gdb and just construct a single rectangle (still gives me the error message).

I thought there was something wrong with the data, but if I still can't publish one single rectangular feature... I'm not so sure any more.

I get only one warning when analyzing the mxd before publishing ("Layer's data source is referenced via a UNC path"), but this has cropped up earlier on other mxd's, giving no problems when publishing.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what on earth the error message means?

Turid
