Hi there
I am currently working with an MXD in 10.1.1, which I have been using for sometime. In the last day or two I have been finding that my MXD is freezing and the gaps between episodes of freezing is decreasing. When it does freeze it is for probably for 1 minute or more. I find this occurring whilst I am editing via the attribute table, which is what I am mostly doing right now. I am mostly using the shortcut keyboard keys rather than clicking on the map to navigate round.
Has anyone else experienced this?
All my data is either held via a 9.3.1 SDE geodatabase, stored in an Oracle 10g database or on network drives. Most data however is in the geodatabase.
Looking at the Threads for ArcMap, using Process Explorer I am finding that when I am not using ArcMap and it is not freezing, then the state is listed as :
Wait:WrUserRequest
The kernal and user times go up, which I would expect as ArcMap is running. However when it freezes up the state now becomes:
Wait:UserRequest
The kernel and user times are now also frozen. CSwitch Delta has no figures in that column either.
I am not sure what is causing it to freeze though. I did notice that when it had come out of being frozen at one point the CSwitch Delta jump up to over 1100 and then went back to arounrd 20-30.
I am not modified my normal MXD or added any third part extensions.
Kind regards
Tim
