Editing NON-SDE oracle tables containing spatial data

Hello!

I'm able to establish with ArcMap 10.1 a connection to my Oracle database and read/visualize the data of a certain table. But when I try to edit the Layer (e.g. adding points), I get an error ("No editable layers").

My question: Is it possible to edit with ArcMap 10.1 NON-SDE Oracle tables? So, is it posible to do that without SDE technology or SDS?

I beg for a clear answer (Y/N), because I couldn't find one at threads concerning my problem.
