Show only one data frame in layout view

In Arcmap 10.1, is there a way to view only the active data frame in layout view? I have a map with 3 data frames and would like to see only the active data frame in layout view. What I'm getting are the data frames stacked on top of one another in the order of when the data frame was added to the map, rather than the order of the table of contents. All data frames in layout view are visible regardless of which data frame is actually active.
