My client has ArcView and I have ArcInfo. While building the GDB’s (there are three) I've ran into little things that ArcInfo can do but ArcView can't such as with the use of relationships in the GDB.
My issue: For all of the tables I have updated the aliases so other users, such as the town's mayor, know what each field in the Identify window represents. In the mxd I've related the needed tables to the feature classes and made sure Show Alias is checked for each feature class and table. When using the Identify tool only the alias displays for the feature class attributes and not fields in the tables; all of the relates work correctly. I've been through advanced settings, ArcMap options, map document properties, and ArcCatalog to see if I missed a check box of some other setting for displaying the table aliases.
My guess is ArcView doesn't allow the aliases in tables to show in the Identify window or that I'm missed a setting somewhere or the solution is to easy that I can’t see it.
