Hello.
I have a request for me to supply a national view (U.S.) of census Block Group data, and I need to know what DPI to export the map as in order to view features the same as I would in ArcMap data view. Basically, in order to see the data at the national level it must be at the 1:73,000,000 scale range; and I would like to have a max zoom to about 1:144,000. I want to export the map as a GIF, and load it back into ArcMap. With the aid of Pyramids, the hope was to help speed up the process of zooming in and out. Along with a seperate "Labels" layer, I will have a map that can be presented at a conference, without the slow down of loading such a map as an ArcGIS Service. Here I want to know what DPI I must export as in order to have a decent quality image/possibly line up with labels that I will have. Sorry if this is confusing..the more I think about, the more I get confused! Thanks!
