Setting out points on a map

Hello,

I am having problems with what should be a very easy task. I want to set out points with certain coordinates on a map.
I have the coordinates in excel as a simple XY-table. As I succesfully did before, I follow the following step:
- In Catalog I select the right file.
- I right click the correct sheet and choose create feature class > from XY table.
- I indicate what is the X and Y field en assign the projected coordinate system.

When I click OK, the following window appears:

There was an error trying to process this table. The table name is invalid. The table was not found [XY'Sheetname'$].

Can someone please help? :)
