Time Slider help

I have a layer with a years field that starts at 2003 to 2013 that i want to use the time slider tool but the display years are wrong.
They Time displays as 1993-2003, 1994-2004. 1995-2005, 1996-2006, 1997-2007 etc. . I need the time to display current year only.
I need every year to be added to the map so i can see the growth not just year by year.

Any help would be great.
