Hi I'm doing a GIS project and for my project I wanted to do identify, using a ranking system, areas that are potential for growing blueberries in the Cumberland county, NJ using ArcGIS/ArcMap as my main tool (I have to use a GIS tool). What I am struggling with (or my main focus) is trying to get the soil series data (maybe 6 or 7 soil series data) for that county, grouping them into six rankings based upon ability to grow and produce blueberries, and then put them into (or create) a map.
What I mean is, for example: I want a map that has to do with the soil, for the map, I want a legend where there are 6 or 7 of my soil series data and for each soil series data it will be ranking #1, ranking #2, ranking #3, etc. with different colors for each ranking, which will be displayed on the map, thats what I want to do. The same thing applies with other maps I want to create.
I tried using Web Soil Survey.com, creating a soil survey area, downloaded the soil data for my county, and add the data to ArcMap, but nothings to me seems to be working (or I'm not too sure how to do it). When I click on the soil map tab on the web soil survey page, on the left there is a list of map units (these are the ones I want to use as my soil series data), ex:"atsion sand", "aura sandy loom" etc. Also I would like to copy/paste the maps into a powerpoint presentation.
Not too sure if I'm posting in the right section but Help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks a lot
