I'm using ArcGIS 10.1.
So, I have a table with ~1000 records. Each record, along with having coords, has a field containing a serial number. I'm trying to find out if ArcGIS has a way to plot my data and symbolize it based on the count of that serial number field. So, if 350 of the records have serial number 12345, I could visualize it differently than the serial number 56789 that only shows up in 150 of the records.
I'm almost certain that in ArcGIS 9.x I could go to the layer properties, go to the symbology tab, go to Categories, and sort by Count. However, I cannot do this in ArcGIS 10.1.
Anyway, I hope I was clear with my question, and I appreciate any help!
