Can't create connection in 10.1 with info that was sufficient in 9.3

My connection in 9.3 that works is

I'm sure I am just not configuring the connection properly. It stands to reason that I would be able to create a connection in 10.1 with the same amount of info I have to create one in 9.3. I do not have a service name; just a server name and port number. Can anyone help with this?
